Westwood Park Inclusive Design Showcase
Habinteg Housing Association Challenged Alison and her team Easy Access to design the interiors of two properties at Bradford, a Lifetime Home and a Wheelchair Bungalow. The brief for her designs called for her designs to be flexible to suit a wide range of tenants, from families with young children, to older people and those using Easy Living wheelchairs. A further challenge was to keep the project within Habinteg’s original budget, which Alison accomplished by working in close collaboration with 26 UK Manufacturers.

Armitage Shanks
Easy Living Home has worked with UK manufacturers such as leading bathroom manufacturer Armitage Shanks, to help develop and promote their ‘inclusive’ products. Working with Occupational Therapist Kate Sheehan, ELH was challenged by Armitage Shanks to plan two new Bathrooms for Mary and Robert, two people with very different requirements, allowing for freedom of independent use with out compromising the rooms designer feel. Alison and Kate were awarded the kbb Review Industry Award 2006 for these designs.
